The Philosophy of Discover Human Intelligence™
Academic success and human success are not the same thing.
Schools do an incredible job preparing students academically. They teach us how to read, write, solve problems, think critically, earn degrees, and pursue careers. Those skills are essential. But life beyond the classroom requires a different set of skills.
Every day we're called to navigate relationships, communicate effectively, regulate our emotions and nervous systems, make difficult decisions, resolve conflict, adapt to change, lead with integrity, and understand ourselves and the people around us.
These are the human skills that shape the quality of our lives, our careers, and our relationships—yet they're rarely taught with the same intention as academic subjects.
At Discover Human Intelligence™, we believe true intelligence isn't measured by grades, test scores, or job titles. It's reflected in how well we understand ourselves, connect with others, communicate through challenges, and respond to life's opportunities with awareness, resilience, and intention.
Our mission is to complement what schools already do by equipping students, young adults, and lifelong learners with the practical human skills needed to thrive beyond the classroom. Whether you're preparing for college, entering the workforce, building relationships, leading a team, or raising a family, Human Intelligence provides the foundation for navigating life with confidence and purpose.
We believe Human Intelligence can be learned, practiced, and mastered. These are the skills that support success not only in school, but long after graduation—in every conversation, every relationship, every career, and every stage of life.
These are the skills school never taught us, but life requires every day.

Meet Nina Fallico | Founder of Discover Human Intelligence™

I’m Nina Fallico, Founder of Discover Human Intelligence, LLC, as well as a speaker, coach, and educator dedicated to helping people develop the human skills that schools rarely teach, but life requires every day.
Discover Human Intelligence™ was shaped by my own life experiences — trauma, divorce, entrepreneurship, single parenting, co-parenting, personal growth, and the realization that many of life’s hardest moments require skills we are rarely taught how to use.
If I had learned in high school what I understand now about emotions, self-regulation, communication, resilience, and intentional decision-making, my path could have looked very different. That realization became one of the driving forces behind DHI. I want students to have access to these tools earlier, before they are forced to learn them through life’s hardest experiences.
My background combines lived experience, continuous personal development, extensive independent study and research in neuroscience and human behavior, and coursework through Harvard Medical School, including The Science of Leadership: The Brain, Resilience, and Mindfulness.
Today, I use that knowledge and experience to help others build greater emotional awareness, resilience, confidence, stronger communication, and more intentional decision-making.
My goal as the founder of DHI is simple: to equip students with practical human intelligence skills they can use in school, relationships, and life long after graduation.
